DUNWOODY, Ga. — A Dunwoody police officer was caught on camera doing a good deed Sunday afternoon.
Sgt. Sanders was on the scene of an explosion at an apartment building in DeKalb County.
Someone else on the scene snapped a photo of Sanders with a big smile on his face keeping an eye on a 7-month-old while his mom was escorted by fire officials to rescue the other member of their family from the rubble: their pet.

Police were called to the Arrive Perimeter Apartments on Asbury Square just before 1:30 p.m. where a portion of the building had exploded.
Officers smelled heavy gas fumes and began evacuating people from the area.
Four people were taken to the hospital with their injuries. At least two people were trapped in the rubble for hours before crews were able to successfully rescue them.
The official cause of the of the explosion has not been released.
