DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One person was shot inside a busy McDonald’s location in DeKalb County on Monday.

The shooting happened near the 2600 block of Wesley Chapel Rd. around 2 p.m.
NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and saw a window of the McDonald’s shattered.
Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes was the only reporter on the scene on Channel 2 Action News at 4 p.m. Monday. She learned a customer was inside the McDonald’s when the shooting happened and was the victim was struck in the side.
Witnesses told Channel 2 Action News they believe the shooting happened after an argument started among three men inside the restaurant. One of the men left and walked outside and started to fire shots into the restaurant.

Details are limited, but police told Channel 2 Action News the victim was transported to a local hospital.
Police have not released the victim’s identity and condition and have not said if that person was involved in the argument or was just an innocent bystander.
