DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Concerned parents crowded into a DeKalb County high school Wednesday night and demanded that the school fire its principal.
Channel 2's Christian Jennings was at Chamblee Charter High School as families made the case that they've had enough of Principal Rebecca Braaten and want her out before the start of the new school year.
The group said Braaten, who has only been on the job for a year, is trying to destroy the school's stellar reputation and students' futures with a toxic work environment for teachers.
"She’s lost the school. She’s lost the students who signed the petition for her removal. She’s lost the teachers who signed the petition for her removal. And she’s certainly lost the community stakeholders and the parents," parent Dave Maxwell said.

Channel 2 Action News asked to speak with the principal, but the district said she would not be available for interviews Wednesday.
The school district said they are aware of the concerns, but have no plans to make any changes.
Parents told Channel 2 Action News they will not give up the fight. Over 2,000 people signed a petition on Change.org, asking for the teacher to be fired.
