DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are asking for your help to find the car and people involved in a deadly road rage incident on Highway 78.
It happened on the busy highway in the middle of the afternoon, around 3 p.m. Thursday.
“It began, we believe, as a road rage incident,” said Major Stephen Fore with Dekalb Police. “There were two vehicles that were going back and forth. We believe it began around 285.”
DeKalb police say Gerald Lovell Tisdale, 52, of Snellville, was driving a Jeep Cherokee. They say he and another driver had an exchange on the road. It ended when someone in a black Nissan Altima shot into Tisdale's car once, hitting him in the head. His car then left the road and veered into a wooded area.
Tisdale was transported to the hospital and later died.

“Just past Mountain Industrial someone fired a shot, striking the driver of the Jeep Cherokee once,” Fore said.
Police are asking for anyone who might have seen what happened to contact them. and they are asking you to take a good look at the black Altima in a picture taken by a witness to the accident.
Police call it evidence that they are confident will lead them to the killer.
“We know that there was more people in that vehicle, and we need them to turn themselves in, because if we have to find you, and we will, you’ll be sitting right next to the shooter charged with murder as well,” said Fore.
