DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Some people who live near a DeKalb County gas station are boycotting it after a video surfaced of what appeared to be a store employee voicing his disdain for the Black community.
The Exxon gas station at the corner of Flat Shoals Road and Gresham Road is nestled in a predominantly African American community in south DeKalb county.
The incident happened about three weeks ago, people in the neighborhood said.
The protest has been peaceful but the group behind the boycott said it has no immediate plans to stop.

Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes went to the store and spoke with the owner, Rahim Sivji, today. The owner says the whole disagreement started when an employee would not make an after hours alcohol sale.
The customer disagrees that he was trying to purchase alcohol after hours. However, both the store owner and customer agree that things escalated from that point.
Sivji has offered his apologies to the group for the incident.
The employee in question will no longer be working at the store, according to Sivji.
Sivji said he hopes he and the protesters can come to an agreement soon, and he can get back to business.
