Suspect shoots man to death, turns around and is immediately shot himself, DKPD says

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead, and another is in the hospital after a shooting in DeKalb County.

DeKalb police were called to the area of Panola Way Lane in regard to a person shot. When officers arrived, police said they found a man dead from a gunshot wound and another man suffering from a gunshot.

Authorities said the second victim was taken to a local hospital.

During the investigation, DeKalb officials believe the dead man and the second victim were involved in an argument when the second victim, shot the man to death.

The suspect was then shot by a third party, according to the police department.

DeKalb police said the second shooting victim will be charged once he’s released from the hospital.

None of the men’s ages or identities were revealed. The investigation is ongoing.
