Channel 2′s Eryn Rogers spoke with Denise Greene, the mother of 23-year-old Leviticus Burns who was found dead inside of the house. Greene said the 21-year-old who died at the hospital was her son’s best friend. She said Leviticus had just turned 23 and was about to become a father in January.
Greene said what made her even more upset about what happened was how she found out her son was dead. She told Rogers that somebody pulled up to her father’s home and told him that his grandson had been in a car accident. She said that it was not until later that she was informed her son had been shot and killed.

The heartbroken mother said she had visited her son on Friday and had said he was going to be working on a music video later that night. She said some of the last words they spoke to each other were “I love you”.
“What it’s like to get that call, it’s a call you never want to get about your child, so it’s hard to explain, said Greene. “Me as a firm believer, justice is going to be served. It’s going to come to the light. Whatever you do in the dark.”
