DECATUR, Ga. — Decatur police say they’ve arrested a 24-year old man for an armed carjacking on July 22 and a second incident just one day later.
After an incident that required some help from the DeKalb County police SWAT team, officers arrested Rieley Fuller and charged him with the armed carjacking on Mimosa Place and say he’s responsible for another carjacking the next day on Kirk Crossing Drive.

Police released surveillance July 23 of a car they believed to be involved in the Mimosa Place incident hoping someone could help them identify potential suspects.
Decatur Police explained in a Facebook post that a woman parked her white 2021 Jeep Cherokee on the street around 6 p.m. That’s when the video showed a black car pulling up behind the woman’s car. Three men, ages 17 - 20 years old, were inside. One pointed a gun at the victim and demanded her keys.
The surveillance video showed a black car with a rear spoiler cruising through the neighborhood. Moments later, the black car roared back in the opposite direction and the white Cherokee follows from a cross street.
The victim handed the keys over and the men left the area driving both the Cherokee and the other car.

The Cherokee was found abandoned the next morning. That same day Decatur Police believe Fuller stole the second vehicle from Kirk Crossing Drive.
Fuller was booked into the DeKalb County Jail and is facing two counts of hijacking a motor vehicle, one count of theft by receiving stolen property and one county of battery for the carjacking incidents.
