Woman, 4-year-old hospitalized after being hit by a car, DeKalb police say

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating a crash that hospitalized two people Sunday.

Authorities said on Sunday at 5:45 p.m., officers received reports of a person hit by a car on Candler Road.

When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl who had been struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene after the incident.

Police said the 28-year-old is in serious condition, and the four-year-old is in critical condition at the hospital.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.

Police have not said if the driver will face charges.
