DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman has died after drowning in a lake in the middle of a DeKalb County neighborhood, police have confirmed.
Officers were called to Kenilworth Circle just before 4:30 p.m. in reference to a possible drowning in Kenilworth Lake.

When they arrived, they found a woman in her 20s or 30s dead. They say she appeared to have drowned.
The woman’s identity has not been released. It is unclear if she lived in the area or why she was in the lake.

Her body was found by a neighbor who was walking her dog.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office is currently working to determine her official cause of death.
