Woman found shot to death inside car on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Doraville

DORAVILLE, Ga. — A homicide investigation is underway in Doraville after a woman was found shot and killed inside a car.

Doraville police say an officer noticed a car in the southbound wall lane of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard just south of Tilly Mill Road at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.

When the officer approached the car, he found an unresponsive woman in the driver’s seat who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

American Medical Response DeKalb responded to the scene and confirmed that the woman was dead.

Police have identified the woman as Carmen Cai-Yi Lee.

Details on the shooting are limited at this time. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

There are no details on any potential suspects this time as well.

Investigators are asking anyone driving in the area at that time to contact them at 770-455-1000.
