DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A woman is dead after a shooting outside a Waffle House in DeKalb County.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the restaurant located at 4750 Flat Shoals Parkway early Tuesday morning.

Police said the woman died on the way to the hospital.

Investigators told Channel 2's Audrey Washington they will look to see if there is any surveillance video that will help with the investigation.

The woman's name is being withheld until her family is notified.

Police said the woman arrived at the location with someone else, but that the woman never walked into the Waffle House.

"It appears that she arrived with someone else, but they're not here anymore," Sgt. Sabrena Dorsey said.

They are still looking for the shooter.

Washington spoke to a witness who said she he heard two women run out of the restaurant screaming, and then found the victim shot in the head in the parking lot.

"It was just crazy," Greg McCory said.

McCory said the suspected shooter made bizarre threats after the shooting.

"Then he pulled back up to the front, says a couple of words to my friends, talking about, 'Who else wants some?" McCory said. "He was just riding around like he was happy about what he did, like, 'I'm ready to do it again,' like, 'I'm ready for my next victim.'"

Investigators said the homicide is under investigation and they are working to piece together what led up to the shooting.
