ANDERSON COUNTY, SC — A couple remains in a South Carolina jail after deputies said they found more than 48 pounds of drugs in their car during a traffic stop.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy pulled over a Jaguar sedan along Interstate 85 recently, near the Georgia state line.

Deputies said a K-9 officer sniffed out the stash of drugs which included 19 taped and heat-sealed packages of cocaine, and more than 110 grams of heroin.
The car’s driver, Corey Davis, and his passenger, Lawanda Smith, were arrested and have been charged with trafficking cocaine and heroin.
They are currently being held in the Anderson County Detention Center.
