GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — A traffic stop led to three people being put behind bars, including one with at least 30 prior arrests.

Around midnight on Friday, Gordon County deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle on Highway 41 near Resaca. Deputies searched the vehicle and found large amounts of illegal drugs and guns.

The sheriff’s office arrested the following suspects:
- Margie Russell, 50, of Calhoun;
- Cody Anderson, 33, of Dalton;
- Kelly Parks, 42, of Sugar Valley;
According to Gordon County authorities, Russell was already a fugitive at the time of her arrest. She was wanted on theft charges.
The suspects were each charged with drug trafficking, possession with intent to distribute, and weapons violation.
Russell, who deputies said had at least 30 prior arrests in Gordon County, faces more charges for bringing drugs across a (jail) guard line.
