DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Deputies are searching for an “extremely dangerous” man who ran from police and is shooting at officers in Dahlonega.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said officers are searching for Gerardo Johnathan Flowers in the area of Mt. Olive Church Rd.

Deputies said Flowers ran from his vehicle into the woods and shot at officers.
Officers have surrounded the area and are searching for Flowers with dogs and via helicopter.

Officers are asking people to avoid the area and call 911 if they see anything suspicious.
“Please keep the officers that are working this in your thoughts and prayers,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote.
“Any time anything like that happens, you’re all concerned because you don’t know where they might go,” resident Terrell Gaines told Channel 2′s Audrey Washington.
Flowers is wanted on charges in Lumpkin, Hall and Habersham counties.
In Habersham County, he’s wanted on family violence charges dating back to 2019.
