ATLANTA — A DoorDash delivery driver is recovering in the hospital after he was shot early Wednesday morning.
Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News that the 43-year-old was near Fire Station #5 at 2825 Campbellton Road when the gunfire happened.

Police said the victim drove himself to the fire station for help around 2 a.m. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds to his back and near his hip.
Investigators believe he was heading to a nearby apartment complex and was shot after picking up food to deliver.

There are no suspects at this time and police said they’re still trying to determine exactly where the man was shot.
Investigators said they’ve found broken glass in the area but haven’t found any shell casings yet.
