DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A couple of Douglas County deputies went above and beyond the call of duty to save two dogs found stuck in an in-ground pool.
The whole thing was caught on one of the deputy’s body cameras.
Deputies Michael Aziz and Elias Johnson were called out to a home Aug. 24 where they found the dogs treading water in the pool, clearly exhausted from being in there so long.

Aziz ended up grabbing a blanket to pull the first dog out of the pool and then grabbed the second one by the collar to get it out.
“Sometimes to protect and serve requires going the extra mile,” the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook. “Thanks to Deputies Aziz and Johnson these beautiful Huskies will be just fine.”
