DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A Douglas County senior has made a big decision after he was accepted into 40 colleges.
Regis Harris is a jack of all trades at Chapel Hill High School. He competes on the track and field team, marches in the school band and is a scholar with the National Honors Society.

Harris got accepted into some of the biggest schools in the country from Clemson and the University of Georgia on the east coast to the University of Southern California out west.
Between the 40 schools combined, he has received $1.6 million in scholarship offers.

Harris announced that he will be attending North Carolina A&T State University. He will receive the Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy scholarship offered by the HBCU. It will cover his tuition, room and board, all fees and books.
Harris plans to major in biology, but wants to earn advanced degrees in psychiatry with the goal of providing service to underserved communities.
