The Douglasville Police Department wants drivers to have patience. In a Facebook post the department said:
“Getting upset and worse, acting aggressively or violent, will only cause more problems. Keep calm and report aggressive or reckless driving by calling 911. Don’t engage in road rage!”
The message comes a little more than one week after a road rage incident ended in gunfire on Highway 5 in Douglasville.
A stray bullet from the shooting went into the window of a nearby Waffle House.
“It’s scary, it could’ve happened here or with my coworker here because I had just left, so it’s scary,” said a woman who works nearby but wants to remain anonymous.

Police said the victim attempted to get away from a black vehicle that is similar to a Dodge Dart, and the same car followed the victim onto Highway 5. Police say the victim’s car was hit by gunfire five times.
Police believe the driver who fired the shots may have had children in the car. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
