LITHIA SPRINGS, Ga. — A nail salon employee shot an armed man attempting to rob the Lithia Springs store, police say.
Officers say two men were in the process of robbing Top Nails on Thorton Road when an employee pulled out a gun and fired, hitting one suspect in the leg.
Ten employees were inside the salon when it happened. None of the employees were injured.

"It's a busy shopping center. There's a lot of people in the parking lot. There's a gas station right behind it, so it was a dangerous situation when they went into the robbery," Maj. J.R. Davidson said.
A K9 unit found the man who was shot in the woods behind the nail salon. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. Police are searching for the second a robber.
