The district did not disclose any names or its plans for discipline.
“Weapons are prohibited on all campuses. We urge students to alert an educator if they know or suspect anyone possessing a weapon. Reporting safety concerns is a collective responsibility that allows our law enforcement officers to maintain the safety and security of our campuses,” the district said. “We also encourage our families to have conversations with students about school safety. These crucial conversations are vital to ensuring Douglas County campuses remain safe spaces for our students to learn and grow.”
