The woman told police that Murray shot her and then ran away. The woman said the whole thing began when Murray came to her house unannounced in the early that morning.

Murray rang the doorbell, but the woman did not answer. However, a little later, the woman’s home started to feel warm and stuffy, so she went outside to look at her air conditioning unit. She suspected that Murray had cut the lines as he had done in the past.

While the woman bent down to inspect the lines, Murray came up behind her with a gun, pointing it at her and asked if she was ready to die. He then forced her back into the house, where he ordered her to call her daughter and to say “goodbye.”
