ATLANTA — The Downtown Connector has reopened more than two hours after a serious, multi-vehicle crash that left one person dead and several others hurt.
The crash happened before 4:45 a.m. near Langford Parkway. Authorities said a woman was killed, two other people were in serious condition and another two people were injured.
According to police, the driver of a Toyota Avalon had rear ended a Nissan Armada. A passenger in the Avalon died in the crash. Two others in the car were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Armada was also taken to the hospital.

Triple Team Traffic's Mark Arum tracked the backups to this crash on Channel 2 Action News This Morning.
Arum said traffic was backed up at least three miles at one point.
Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes says she was heading to the scene but got stuck in the traffic. She said she moved about 300 feet in 40 minutes.
No charges have been filed in the crash yet as the investigation continues.
