FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia man was arrested after deputies said he drove recklessly, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

Around 5:40 p.m. on Friday, Floyd County deputies tried to stop a vehicle on Olmstead Street and East 18th Street.
Authorities said the driver, Jadakiss Jaliler Waddell, of Rome, was operating a vehicle with the license plate obscured.
The sheriff’s office said Waddell then ran five stops and began driving recklessly on the road.

According to the FCSO, Waddell was clocked going 110 mph in a 40 mph speed zone, passing other drivers, and failing to maintain his line. Deputies said he also drove on the wrong side of the road.
The suspect’s license was also suspended and he had a gun in his possession while admitting to being a convicted felon.
Authorities said Waddell tried to run away from deputies but was quickly arrested.
Waddell is facing a laundry list of charges including:
- Fleeing or attempting to elude police
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Two counts of obstruction of a law enforcement officer
- Five counts of stop sign violation
- Speeding
- Display of license plate
- Passing in a no-passing zone
- Failure to maintain lane
- Driving on the wrong side of the road
- Reckless driving
- Driving while license suspended
He was booked into the Floyd County Jail.
