COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a two-car crash that left an innocent driver dead early Friday morning.
Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Roosevelt Highway at Delano Road in Fulton County.
According to authorities, Cobb County officers tried to stop a Dodge Durango, but the driver kept going.

The driver exited at Camp Creek Road and continued down several side roads and onto Roosevelt Highway. That’s when police lost sight of the SUV.
Authorities say the driver was going down the wrong side of the roadway and hit a Honda in the intersection of Roosevelt Highway and Delano Road.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead on the scene, according to authorities.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 41-year-old Jonathan Denham.
The driver of the Dodge Durango ran away but was arrested a short distance from the crash due to an injury. The driver was taken to Grady Hospital for his injuries.
