ATLANTA — The driver and passenger of a Dodge Challenger were transported to a nearby hospital after officials said they both jumped off the Interstate 20 overpass during a chase.

Georgia State Patrol said a trooper attempted to stop the car near I-20 westbound near Hill Street. The driver and the passenger fled the car before crashing and started to run on foot.
Both jumped off the overpass and landed next to the ramp to the downtown connector south from I-20 westbound.

According to officials, both were injured and transported to a local hospital.
GSP told Channel 2 Action News the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
