LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Two people were killed on a Gwinnett County Road on Monday morning.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. at Old Norcross Road and Chris Lake Drive. County police assisted Lawrenceville police in the investigation.
Lawrenceville police Sgt. Christopher Ralston told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that the female driver of a Volvo that was eastbound on Old Norcross Road crossed the median and struck an oncoming Hyundai head-on, according to witness accounts.
Both drivers were killed in the crash, but their identities have not been released.
"It's going to be a couple of days before we know if any alcohol or anything played a role in it," Ralston told the AJC.
