Dry, warm weather for Monday afternoon

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

ATLANTA — The long-awaited cold front has moved south of Atlanta, bringing a cooler Monday morning, with widespread 60s from the north metro and into the north Georgia mountains.

For today, the humidity will continue to drop a bit through the day, most noticeable from I-20 and north.

High and mid-level clouds will move overhead at times, but we will stay mainly dry. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s.

Over the next couple of days, with the front to our south, some moisture will move overhead and this will trigger an isolated shower chance – especially south of I-20.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s in the afternoon, with lows near 70 in Atlanta (near 60 in the far northeast mountains).

Into the rest of the week, a high pressure ridge builds overhead and it’ll be mainly dry Thursday through the weekend. Temperatures will push back toward the low to mid 90s this weekend.
