The group of around five people showed up at a South Fulton County QT gas station at 5:30 a.m. They then traveled to Willis’ house.
The group wants the Fulton County DA to enforce the law with fear of prosecution.
Willis tried to recuse herself from the Atlanta police officer shooting that killed Rayshard Brooks on June 12, and another case involving excessive force by six APD officers against two college students in a civil unrest.
Willis said her predecessor Paul Howard’s actions and decisions tainted both investigations.
State Attorney General Chris Carr denied Willis’ request for his office to prosecute the cases. Carr said there’s no conflict of interest and refused to honor her request.
