Early voting for runoff elections, including Atlanta mayoral race, begins today

ATLANTA — Early voting kicks off Wednesday for the 2021 runoff elections, including the race to decide Atlanta’s next mayor.

City Council President Felicia Moore and Council Member Andre Dickens are facing off in the Atlanta mayoral runoff. Moore finished the first round of voting on Nov. 2 with 41% while Dickens earned the second runoff spot with 23%. He finished ahead of former Mayor Kasim Reed.

Early voting runs through Nov. 24 ahead of the Nov. 30 runoff. In Fulton County, early voting is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through next week, including Saturday and Sunday voting this weekend. A full list of early voting locations can be found here.

In DeKalb County, the polls are open for early voters from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. A full list of early voting locations can be found here.

While a lot of eyes are on the Atlanta mayoral race, it isn’t the only mayoral runoff on Nov. 30. Here are the other races that will be decided.

• Fairburn mayor: Incumbent Elizabeth Carr-Hurst versus. former mayor Mario Avery
• Forest Park mayor: Incumbent Angelyne Butler versus. former councilman Thomas Smith
• Peachtree City mayor: Kim Learnard versus. Eric Imker
• South Fulton mayor: Incumbent Bill Edwards versus. councilman Khalid Kamau

There are also city council seats up for grabs.

• Duluth Council Post 4: Manfred Graeder versus Brandon Odum
• Marietta Council Ward 5: Reginald Copeland versus Carlyle Kent
• Milton Council District 1, Post 1: Jami Tucker versus Andrea Verhoff
• Peachtree City Council Post 4: Phil Crane versus Frank Destadio
• Roswell Council Post 5: Michael Dal Cerro versus Will Morthland
• South Fulton Council District 4: Naeema Gilyard versus Jaceey Sebastian
• Stonecrest Council District 1: Jimmy Clanton versus Tara Graves
• Suwanee Council Post 5: Pete Charpentier versus David Martinez
• Tucker Council District 2, Post 1: Imani Barnes versus Cara Schroeder

Remaining candidates in the Atlanta mayoral race meet in a forum Andre Dickens and Felicia Moore will face each other again in a run off election for mayor of Atlanta.
