ATLANTA — Elijah Holyfield, son of former heavyweight boxing champ Evander Holyfield, has announced he will play football at the University of Georgia in 2016.
Several top programs including Alamaba, Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina have all scouted Holyfield.
Holyfield says he knew he wanted to go to UGA for over two months, but needed to know a few things before making his final decision.
Holyfield is a running back at Woodward Academy, a school just outside of Atlanta, where he has scored 28 touchdown and rushed for 1,735 yards.
