‘Embarrassed’ raccoon rescued from Georgia home

Raccoon rescued from Georgia home The animal was released into the wild

DALTON, Ga. — Firefighters are used to coming across people in embarrassing emergency situations - but this time it was a raccoon that needed some help.

The city of Dalton Fire Department posted on its Facebook page that firefighters were called to a home Monday night and found the furry fellow in a jam. After firefighters were able to get a handle on the situation, they snapped a photo of the little animal with its hand over its eyes in what appears to be pure embarrassment.

Firefighters had some words of advice for the raccoon: “We all need a helping hand every now and then.”

Crews then released it into the wild, where they said they hope it’ll be “less adventurous in his search for snacks from now on.”

Thankfully, no human or animal was hurt in the rescue.
