Person hit, killed by train on MARTA line in Brookhaven

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — MARTA service has resumed as normal after a train leaving the Brookhaven station hit and killed a trespasser Tuesday morning.

There were extreme delays on the MARTA north and south lines after the incident. Crews shut off the rail power and customers on board the train were moved to another train.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
