ATLANTA — A father and child escaped with no injuries after they fell at least 50 feet down an embankment.
The accident happened Friday morning on Interstate 85 near Langford Parkway at 4 a.m.

Atlanta officers and fire crews responded to the scene and found two people inside a SUV. A spokeswoman with Atlanta Fire Rescue Department says the car was about 50-75 feet down the embankment.
Police say the father called 911 after the crash and told them he was stuck in the SUV with his 3-year-old child, but did not know exactly where he was.
Officers ultimately found the car in a creek underneath the bridge.

Rescue crews went to work and removed the man and child from the SUV. They used a stokes basket, backboard and collar to lift the two to safety.
Police say the father was taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash, but the 3-year-old was not injured.
