DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two people are dead after a house fire early Christmas morning.
DeKalb County Fire and Rescue said at 3:15 a.m., crews arrived to a house fire at 2835 Thompson Circle. A resident stated that there were two people inside.

Crews said they got inside of the home and found a disabled boy. The boy’s father was later found dead in the home.
DCFR said the son was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
The American Red Cross assisted a total of six people. DCFR did not say if the assisted people were injured in the fire.
