TYRONE, Ga. — One person died in a house fire Sunday morning in Fayette County.
Firefighters responded to 535 Laurelwood Drive in Tyrone, Georgia and saw an attached garage on fire and dense smoke coming from the eaves of the house.
Crews began to attack the fire and search the inside of the house.

Fayette County Department of Fire & Emergency Services Assistant Chief Brian Davis said that conditions inside the house began to rapidly deteriorate, forcing firefighters to exit the house.
Once they gained control of the fire, search crews returned to inside the house where they found a body.
The fire is under investigation by the Fayette County Fire Marshal’s Office.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
