Virginia State Police troopers spotted the vehicle they were suspected of being in and conducted a traffic stop which led to Assefa’s arrest.
Demissie fled from police in the car and led police on a short chase that ended a short time later in his arrest.
Both are being charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery in connection to the Fayetteville shooting.
They will be extradited back to Fayette County after facing other charges in Virginia. It is not clear at this time where in Virginia the men were spotted and arrested.
