The driver of the SUV was able to escape with his two children before that vehicle caught fire as well. One of the SUV passengers sustained non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said they believe the 19-year-old driver lost control of his car and crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting the SUV. Police said speed does appear to be a factor in the crash, but final results of the investigation are still pending.
