Channel 2′s Michael Seiden stopped by the Cua family’s home to get their side of the story but all lines were busy.
Authorities haven’t released details about his alleged role, but Channel 2 discovered several concerning posts from his Parler account in the days leading up to the attack on the Capitol,
Three days before on Jan. 3, Cua warned his followers about the possibility of firearm checkpoints in D.C. He also encourages them to arm themselves with pepper spray, tasers and baseball bats.
Cua ends his post by urging his followers to “show up and be ready to fight! telling them that this really is our 1776.”
There was also a recent incident with Cua at Birmingham Falls Elementary. According to the Milton Herald newspaper, police responded to the school on Dec. 8 after getting reports of Cua speeding in the school parking lot with a large Trump flag blowing in the wind and blaring his horn while kids were in the area.
When police questioned him, Cua told police the kids were his younger brother and his friends who gathered to watch him fly his flag.
Officers eventually cited him for violating the city’s disturbance ordinance.
Seiden reached out to the suspect’s mother for comment and she declined to comment instead she texted me her son’s attorneys number. The family his hired Atlanta based attorney Molly Parmer.
Parmer declined to comment and told me they don’t plan to make any comment this weekend. Right now it’s unclear if she’s even seen the criminal complaint against her client .
Cua is at least the sixth arrest in the Capitol riots with a connection to Georgia.
