ATLANTA — A metro Atlanta woman is showing her frustrations over the Falcons winless season and heartbreaking losses in a video that’s gone viral.
Everyone knows how tough it is to be an Atlanta sports fan. But after the team’s latest collapse against the Bears, Falcons fan Emily Green decided she had enough.
“I was about to start crying. And I said I will not give this team any more tears today,” she told Channel 2’s Tom Jones. “And I told my husband if we lose this game, I’m burning everything.”
Green is a woman of her word. She took just about every piece of Falcons gear at her Savannah home and torched it. It was a backyard BBQ except a different kind of bird was on the grill.
“Get my lighter fluid cause it ain’t quite burning enough over here," Green said in the video.

Green posted her Falcons gear bonfire on Facebook and it went viral much to her surprise.
The video shows Green going from room to room inside her home, yanking the gear off the walls and beds. She wasn’t having it when her nephew objected to burning some items like an autographed Matt Ryan jersey
“Why you want to keep it? They keep breaking our hearts," she told him.
So far, Green’s video has been shared over 10,000 times with over 4,000 comments. Some fans were not happy with her.
“Thousands of people wishing me death upon. Like, honey no, I did not expect it,” Green said.
But Green doesn’t regret sending the Falcons gear up in flames. Green said with every divorce there’s a chance the two sides can get back together - just not anytime soon..
“It’s not that we lose. If we just had a bad team, that would be one thing. But we have the talent. But we just can’t make it click.”
