FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — One person has died in a crash involving two tractor-trailers on I-20 eastbound at Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Triple Team Traffic says the final lane reopened Friday morning after crews removed the remaining tractor-trailer.

All lanes were blocked as drivers were stuck at a standstill for more than three hours Thursday night.

Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat had live coverage of the crash.

"I just got off and said, 'I'll chill till the traffic dies down,'" a driver told Channel 2's Alyssa Hyman.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a tractor-trailer was traveling east on I-20. The driver lost control and the truck started to turn onto its side, hitting another tractor-trailer and two cars.

The impact sent part of that first tractor-trailer over the concrete barrier into the west bound lanes of I-20, the two cars in the westbound lane were hit by the debris and one of those drivers died.

As of late Thursday night, the eastbound lanes remain closed, causing complete gridlock on one of Atlanta's major arteries.
