ATLANTA — Tropical Storm Arthur formed off the coast of Florida Saturday night. This is the first named storm of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon says the storm is currently forecast to skirt the North Carolina coast Monday.

This is the first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, which officially begins June 1.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Katie Walls said this marks the sixth consecutive year that a storm has developed before the season’s official start.
