Former Georgia Bulldog's RB Todd Gurley signs with St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The St. Louis Rams have officially signed their first round draft pick, former University of Georgia running back Todd Gurley.

The Rams took the North Carolina native 10th overall in the 2015 draft. Gurley, who left Georgia after his junior season, finished his career as the Bulldogs' second leading rusher. He gained 3,285 yards in 30 games, scored 32 touchdowns rushing and averaged 6.4 yards per carry.

In a video posted on the Rams' website, Gurley thanked the people close to him. "Family, high school coaches, college coaches, everybody that's been a part of my life, that's helped me out when I needed something," he said.

According to the website spotrac.com, Gurley's rookie contract is worth a little more than $13.82 million with 100 percent guaranteed and $8.31 million coming as a signing bonus.
