ATHENS — A former Georgia quarterback and his wife have welcomed two little bundles of joy.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, announced the births of the couple’s twins Monday in an Instagram post celebrating their first night out as parents.
She said the babies were born on March 31 and are “happy and healthy.”

In a previous Instagram post, Kelly Stafford said the couple planned to name the identical girls Chandler and Sawyer.
Matthew and Kelly Stafford were married in April 2016, surrounded by friends, family and Lions teammates.
Kelly Stafford is a former UGA cheerleader.
