25-year-old man shot father to death after argument, Forsyth County sheriff’s office says

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A 25-year-old man was charged with murder after allegedly shooting his father to death in Forsyth County.

The sheriff’s office said it was called out to the home on Homestead Ridge Thursday around 6 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they said they learned that 25-year-old Rajeev Kumaraswamy had gotten into an argument with his father, Sadashivia Kumaraswamy. Rajeev then allegedly got a gun from his room and shot his father several times. 

Sadashivia Kumaraswamy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rajeev Kumaraswamy was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Forsyth County Jail without bond.  

The sheriff’s office said it had no prior contact or calls for service from the home before the incident.
