91-year-old couple dies after SUV crashes on north Georgia road, deputies say

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A Thursday afternoon crash left an elderly couple dead on a Forsyth County road.

Alice Jackson and her husband Jimmy, both 91 years old, died in a single-vehicle crash on Flowery Branch Road, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The Forsyth County 911 Center received multiple calls about the crash on Thursday afternoon.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they found two people dead in a white 2021 Cadillac XT4.

Mrs. Jackson was the driver, according to the initial investigation.

The Jacksons were traveling west on Flowery Branch Road and started to drift off the road at Shadow Lane, according to the sheriff’s office.

Alice Jackson tried to adjust but over-corrected, which caused the SUV to leave the roadway and overturn.

Deputies said the vehicle stopped at the top of an embankment.

Both Alice and Jimmy Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
