At least one dead, one in custody after shooting in Forsyth County, deputies say

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — At least one person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting Thursday evening.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to a shooting on Homestead Ridge Drive around 6 p.m.

Deputies say they have taken one suspect into custody, but have not released any information on the suspect.

Crime scene investigators and major crime units are currently on the scene working to determine what led up to the shooting.

Investigators have not yet released the identity of the victims in this shooting.

A portion of the road is currently closed to traffic, but sidewalks remain open for those who live in the area.
