FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Eleven students at Otwell Middle School were taken to the hospital Friday after eating candies that may have been over-the-counter “herbal” gummies, Forsyth County schools said.
The transported students have all since been treated and released.
The school was placed on a short medical lockdown during the incident.
Forsyth County schools did not say if anyone has been held responsible for the incident.

Last year, several middle school students in Butts County got sick after eating candy at school.
In 2019, more than two dozen students at Sandtown Middle School in Fulton County were sickened after eating Valentine’s Day candy.
