FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — There’s nothing like some friendly competition to get your morning started.
The East Point Police Department decided to make some early morning moves to help recruit officers by creating a billboard on McFarland Parkway.

To help stir the pot, the billboard is within Forsyth County limits. East Point is located in Fulton County.
In a Facebook post by Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the department crossed out East Point’s photo and told East Point, “thanks for playing.”
Forsyth County is also hiring. The starting pay for a deputy sheriff is $62,000, along with a take-home car and other benefits, in what the county considers the best-paid sheriff’s office in Georgia.
The billboard states that East Point police starting pay is $55,000 with education pay incentives.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office gave East Point Police “B+ for effort.”
Although Forsyth County gave East Point a “B+,” the department says it will keep working hard for that “A.”
