Woman found dead in Forsyth County home

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies have charged a Forsyth County man with the murder of his estranged wife inside his home.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is not yet releasing the victim’s name.

Police say three different neighbors called 911 to report that Zhibin Duan, 51, was walking the street, covered in blood and threatening them, said officers.

Deputies responded but said the suspect would not cooperate or follow their demands therefore, officers tackled him and saw the blood on his clothes, which led them back to the house and the discovery of his wife's body.

“He was confrontational with neighbors, so we received 911 calls, and when our deputies responded, (they) had to physically restrain him,” Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman said. “We detained him until we found the body, and that led to a much larger investigation.”

Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach learned that Duan had some type of object in his hand that caused concern among the officers at the scene.

The sheriff's office has not released what the object was, how the victim was killed or if they think the object was the murder weapon.

The couple had been separated and were not living together.

Investigators aren’t sure how or when the victim arrived at Duans’ residence, said police.

Duan is in jail without bond at the Forsyth County Detention Center.
